EDO NSW will hold a free workshop in Breeza explaining what legal rights the community and the environment will have if the Watermark coal mine on the Liverpool Plains goes ahead. The workshop will explore the community’s compliance and enforcement options, including:

  • Water, Aboriginal culture and heritage, air and noise pollution, native vegetation, threatened species: what the mine can and can’t do
  • What you can you do if you suspect that the mine fails to comply with the law
  • Where you can turn for help or advice about conditions of consent and other legal requirements
  • What your options are if the mine does break the law

Bring a plate to share for lunch.
