Expanding complying development across NSW
There’s just a couple of weeks left to have your say about the NSW Government’s proposal to make significant changes to planning rules by broadening the range of development types that can be carried out as complying development. Proposed additions include dual occupancies, manor homes, townhouses and terraces.
Currently, these types of developments are required to be assessed by the local council before they can go ahead. If listed as complying development, they will be able to be approved by an accredited certifier provided that they meet specified development standards.
