Pilliga State Conservation Area Review

The Office of Environment and Heritage is seeking feedback on the Pilliga State Conservation Area Review for the reintroduction of Locally Extinct Mammals.

This project is occurring on three conservation reserves in NSW, including Pilliga State Conservation Area. At Pilliga, the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) have been contracted to reintroduce seven mammals currently extinct in NSW. The AWC plans to build a fenced exclosure and remove introduced species, particularly foxes and feral cats, from within the exclosure. Submissions invited until 28 October 2017.
