EPLA conference 2019

The theme of this year’s EPLA conference is ‘Planning and Design’, to be held at the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Surry Hills on 24-25 October, 2019.

The Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, the Hon Rob Stokes MP, will open the conference with the keynote address. Conference sessions will include combustible cladding; design competitions; green building design and certification; clause 4.6 variations; and a focus on Western Sydney, including the aerotropolis precinct. Day 2 workshops will include ‘Class 3 for experts’; prosecutors’ duties; and SEPP 65.

The President of the NSW Court of Appeal, Justice Andrew Bell, will speak on recent decisions in the NSW Court of Appeal, while EPLA’s immediate past President Richard Lancaster SC will speak on recent decisions in the Land and Environment Court.

To conclude the conference, dinner on Friday evening will be “black tie masked ball” held in Paddington Town Hall.
