How to access environmental and planning consultations at federal, state and council level

  • To access the LEP tracking system, visit the Department of Planning and Environment websitego to Current Proposals and search for ‘On Exhibition’. Read more about LEPs in our Fact Sheets. Visit your local council’s website to see if there are any planning proposals or LEP changes open for public comment.

  • Kings Cross urban design study

    City of Sydney is reviewing some parts of the planning framework that guide local character and development in Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross. As part of this review, you are invited to take an online survey, make a written submission or speak to a City of Sydney officer in person to discuss the future of Kings Cross.

    Feedback will inform any amendments proposed to the Sydney Development Control Plan 2012, the associated locality statement and an urban design study for the properties of Darlinghurst Road.

    Consultation closes at 5pm Sunday 22 July.

  • Wildlife Licensing changes

    The management of human-native wildlife interactions under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 is proposed to change to a new risk-based approach. A discussion paper on the proposed changes, a draft revised draft Animal Keepers Species List and three proposed codes of practice for keeping native birds, frogs and reptiles are now available for comment. Comments can be submitted until 24 July 2018.

  • F6 Extension – Stage 1

    NSW Roads and Maritime Services

    The proposal for the new M5 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah is on public exhibition. Roads and Maritime has released further project and design information for public feedback. There will be impact on Bicentennial Park wetlands.
     

    A range of community information sessions are available and feedback is invited until Friday 27 July 2018.

  • Chillers 2018

  • Draft Open Government National Action Plan

    Australia’s first Open Government National Action Plan was launched in December 2016. It contains commitments to strengthen transparency and accountability in business, open data and digital transformation, access to government information, integrity in the public sector and public participation and engagement.
    The second National Action Plan in draft is available for comment online.
    Closing date for comments is 8 July 2018.

  • Camp Street Bridge, Forbes

  • Greater Sydney Outdoors Survey

    The Department of Planning and Environment want to know how Sydney residents use outdoor spaces and waterways via a five-minute survey. This will assist with future planning of open space and recreation across Greater Sydney.

  • Wilderness horse riding trial

    Horse riding was trialled in four national parks between April 2014 and April 2016. Amendments have now been proposed to permanently allow horse riding in wilderness areas.

    The proposed amendments to the Plans of Management are available for public comment by 7 August 2018.
