How to access environmental and planning consultations at federal, state and council level

Local Environment Plans (LEPs)

  • To access the LEP tracking system, visit the Department of Planning and Environment websitego to Current Proposals and search for ‘On Exhibition’. Read more about LEPs in our Fact Sheets. Visit your local council’s website to see if there are any planning proposals or LEP changes open for public comment.

  • Everyone Can Play in NSW

    The Department of Planning and Environment has collaborated with local government, design experts and disability advocates to create the Everyone Can Play in NSW Guideline. This has been developed to foster more inclusive design of NSW play spaces and to set best practice recommendations for play spaces of all sizes, types and budgets.

  • Potential new Hawkesbury Shelf Marine Park

    The NSW Marine Estate Management Authority is seeking feedback on a potential new marine park in the Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong regions. The proposed marine park will include 25 sites from Newcastle to Wollongong, to further enhance biodiversity outcomes. Make your submission by 27 September 2018.

  • Threatened species listings: nine species

    The Australian Department of the Environment and Energy is calling for public submissions on the eligibility of nine species for inclusion on the EPBC Act threatened species list and the necessary conservation actions:

    WA – three species:

    • Ctenotus angusticeps (Northwestern Coastal Ctenotus)
    • Galaxias truttaceus (Western Australian population) (Western Trout Minnow)
    • Hesperocolletes douglasi (Douglas' Broad-headed Bee)

     

    NSW – six species:

    • Fontainea oraria
    • Gentiana bredboensis
    • Homoranthus bebo
    • Phebalium speciosum
    • Philotheca ericifolia
    • Pimelea axiflora subsp. pubescens

     

    Submissions are invited until 3 October 2018.

  • Western Sydney Aerotropolis Stage 1 Land Use and Infrastructure Implementation Plan
