Community Workshop in Valla - How to have your say on the Draft North Coast Regional Plan and how to enforce environmental laws

EDO NSW will hold a free workshop in Valla Beach explaining how the community can have their say about the Draft North Coast Regional Plan, which is open for public comment until Thursday 2 June 2016.

The Draft North Coast Regional Plan is the NSW Government’s proposed blueprint for the next 20 years for both the Mid North Coast and the Far North Coast. It discusses resource extraction and mining, Aboriginal culture and heritage, housing, transport and other infrastructure, native vegetation, farmland, and the management of land use conflicts.

The workshop will also include information about how the community can enforce environmental laws, including development consent conditions for quarries, land clearing, and pollution.

Please bring a plate to share for lunch.
